100 posts!!!!

I can't believe this is my 100th post. WOW.

A little housekeeping:
Jan 7
Genesis 16:1-18:15
Matthew 6:1-24
Psalms 7:1-17
Proverbs 2:1-5

Now I like many others have tried the whole read the Bible thru the year and it is not the easiest reading, particularly the old testament. Truthfully, tho, this time is different for me. Maybe it is a desire in my being to learn more about my loving Savior, but honestly I think the translation of my one year Bible has more to do with it. It is the New Living Translation. It is way easier to read, and all the begotting is worded differently, also easier to digest. Now, there are those that would condemn some translations of the Bible, but I am reminded of a friend of my husbands who said it was the living Bible that lead her to Christ. She had read other versions, but they didn't make sense, but by changing the method not the message she was saved. So if you are struggling with your Bible reading, try a different version. King James will always be difficult to read, and maybe for some the living may seem to washed down (altho I would disagree) I love my revised american standard, but for this one year of reading I would recommend the living.

So.....

Did you hear the resounding "aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!" as I sat down in my chair today?! Finally back to normal. everyone is at school and tho I have a hundred things I need to do, I have 2 hours all to myself. It felt so incredibly good to have a little all to myself time. That 2 week Christmas break thing was nice, but I was ready for normalcy back in our home. For 2 whole hours no one is going to say "MOM" Don't get me wrong I love my kids more than life itself, but I do cherish these few moments of me time.

Here's hoping you are having a normal wonderful day!!!
I would love to do something fun for 100th post, but it kinda snuck up on me. I'll think on it and maybe I'll add something later.

Here are our Christmas at the Johnsons photos.

Hugs

I know what you mean about the routine! I can't wait until both of mine are in school at least for a couple of hours a day!

I have a living bible translation, but don't really care for it. But then I grew up on KJV. For everyday reading I really like my English Standard Version. :)

Great pics too!
