Halloween Fun

We went trick or treating. It was the first time we have done that, except the time we went with some friends to some of their neighbors.  It is such a different experience than trunk or treat, or just going around to our family. We walked our neighborhood. Smiled and visited with strangers. Got tons of compliments on the kids costumes. Saw kids not dressed up at all go up with a buckets to get candy..what is up with that!  Dressing up is the best part!

Rebecca wanted to be a cowgirl. We could not find a black cowboy hat that fit anywhere, so we went without one. she did have to tell a few people what she was, but most people were able to figure it out.

Ryan was Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. The only thing he knows about Jack Sparrow if from the nintendo lego games. He looked amazing tho.  His costume even earned him an extra candy bar at one house.

He said hi to a classmate of his, and she didn't recognize him! HA!

We have a big bowl of candy. Kids had fun. It was the best halloween I think we have ever had!

PS I know the blog has been lacking, I'm working on decluttering the day to day so a more regular schedule will be coming. I have a couple yummy recipes to share, and I am still menu planning, but I just haven't been posting it.
