Ever since what was it 2 weeksish ago Kelly's Korner had beauty tips, my love for makeup/hair stuff has been revived. It had been dormat for a long time. I have wasted a lot of time the last week watching tutorials on makeup application and techniques. I had never thought to check you tube for such videos, altho I don't know why.
I discovered a love for velcro rollers...my my what I have been missing. Seriously this morning I ran the straight iron thru my unwashed hair, plopped velcro rollers in and by the time I had my makeup done my hair was fabulous. I took the rollers out brushed a couple pieces and voila..magnifique!!! The straight iron was to provide a little heat to the hair, not to really straighten anything. I was amazed. Good hair very quickly!
Did you know makeup goes on better with make up brushes...why until now at 33 I never knew this is beyond me. I've been using marykay makeup and its good, but well my restored love of stuff had me comparing products and such, well mary kay has a brush set which I had been eyeing for awhile, but just didn't want to drop that kind of money for a few brushes. All I can say after my looking is OVERPRICED!! I found some inexpensive brushes as low as $1 and the quality is good and they wash up great and retain their shape.
I love these tutorials. I have learned to apply eye liner. Now that may sound silly, but up until now I always felt like I looked like I was beat up. My Mary Kay consultant had showed me a way to apply it with good results, but I actually like some eye liner now. It is amazing what can happen if you learn to do it the right way.
So tomorrow my bday goodies should arrive. I got some brushes and a makeup palette. I am excited.
