Oriental Pepper Steak

Another recipe from Grandma Willits cook book. This is a quick and tasty meal.

Oriental Pepper Steak

This serves 4-6

1 1/2 lbs. beef cut into strips
1/4 cup oil
2 c.  prepared bouillon or beef base
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp ginger
1 tsp soy sauce
2 green peppers cut into strips
2 tomatoes cut into wedges
2 Tbsp corn starch
2 Tbsp cold water

Brown beef in the oil in a skillet. Add bouillon, sugar, ginger, and soy sauce. Bring to a boil; add veggies. Cook over low heat until veggies are done (about 20 minutes). Combine cornstarch and water; stir til smooth. Add some of the hot beef broth to warm the corn starch mixture. Gradually add the warmed cornstarch mix to the beef mixture and cook, stirring constantly until it thickens and comes to a boil.

Serve with rice.
